There appears to be a strange dark direction that a lot of TV shows have taken over the last decade. And it is noticeable. And could this be a part of or an indicator of the expected darkness beginning to envelop the Earth as we get nearer to the return of the Lord?
Not that I watched them, but apparently the earlier Sabrina shows were cute and funny.
This Sabrina variant is neither cute nor funny.
It is satanic and dark and full of occult imagery.
Here are some interesting review titles from the imdb site which say it all:
Sabrina and Salem. Teenage Witch show 1996.
And some selected comments from these reviews follow:
The original series of Sabrina was light and funny.
I watched the original Sabrina and it was a funny, lighthearted show. I thought I would give this one a try. I knew it was suppose to be more serious and darker in tone. I was thinking something along the lines of Supernatural or Charmed, but this show is dangerous. The reason I say that is that this show is geared toward our youth and it is about satanism. It talks so much about satan and has so many satanic images in it
Are you seriously going to introduce kids to Satanism?
it felt like they were trying to rip off supernatural.. Which is yes also filmed in Vancouver and filmed at every location This show went too!!! But they acting and story lines are 100000 x better in supernatural.
Witches who fawn over "the Dark Lord" as if he were the local hunk.
Very demonic, satanic etc Very dark Not my cup of tea
Wiccan are not devil worshipers. The writers must be Christian to say such things. Satan Is a Christian belief not Wiccan. Someone should have done their research before offering false information.
It's amazing to think a group of people approved and funded this crap.
For those that loved the original Sabrina The Teenage Witch, don't get your hopes up with this one. It is far from the happy, bubbly, magical version that we once loved so dear. Now if your into the current wave of political nonsense mixed with satanic rituals, well this ones for you.
This show was once known as the best sitcom on tv. A sarcastic cat, a funny teen witch and two cooky aunts. What happened to those days?
A vehicle to promote satanism and feminism
Imagine if Sam and Dean from supernatural, instead of fighting against monsters and ghosts, were fighting for Political Correctness, against patriarchy so on and so forth. Well, that's Sabrina for you. Satanical Witches who kill people for fun are the heroes and the people who don't adhere to PC are the villains. Yeah, murder and hail satan are better than patriarchy. That's the message.
I've seen terrible things before, really bad things, but this takes the cake. The plot is shallow, the characters are unlikable and everything seems out of place.
It's an insult to Wicca, Christianity and I'm sure Satanist don't really want to be featured as cannibalistic fiends either that eat their own children. ... I definitely wanted demon hunting but wicca and satanism AREN'T the same thing. ... Also the not so subtle digs at Christianity are sickening. I am a firm believer of respect to others religions and this show is just so not cool. ... it would really be a good show minus all the Satan crap.
Gone is the comic version of how Sabrina is supposed to be!! Gone is the fun loving adaptation of the original tv show!! Replacing what Sabrina is supposed to be is a smirking, cocky, dark & pretty much evil version!! WHY? Why do things have to be dark & evil anymore? Why can't they be fun loving like they are meant to be!! ... She is a part of the Archie's comics & there was no problem with her being in both places!!
The writing is awful, characters not only go from undecidedly "Hail Satan" in one scene to "Lucifer is evil we need to stop him" 5 minutes later, but are also unbelievably moronic.
Oh, yeah, and Salem is just a normal cat that doesn't talk.
The "Supernatural" series connection is also interesting as the imdb site tells us that Chilling Adventures:
Takes place in the same universe as "Riverdale" which airs on the CW. "Supernatural" also airs on the CW and clearly shared actors with "The Chilling
Adventures of Sabrina" if you look closely you can even spot the iconic 1967 Chevy Impala in the background of some shots.
And though I have not watched any episodes of "Supernatural" for some years it was never a show to be taken seriously. You knew it was just spiritual junk and just for entertainment. It did not cross the line that this show has. Some of the imagery in this show is very real. The statue of Baphomet is one of the worst examples of this. Introduced early in Season 1 Episode 4 as Sabrina walks into the main entrance of the Witch Academy.
Scene from Episode 4
And what happened next is actually quite funny. This is definitely Baphomet. You cannot miss the similarity with the sketch or image created by
Eliphas Levi, the French occultist who drew the famous depiction of Baphomet
Baphomet sketch by Eliphas Levi
Note the similarities:
The head and two horns of a goat;
The pentagram in the forehead;
Main body of a human;
Arm positionings the same with the hands showing similar finger directioning;
The flame of intelligence shining between his horns;
The odd thingy rising from his pelvic region with two snakes; and
Legs of a goat.
Scene from Episode 4
Note this last pic shows the hand/finger positioning a bit clearer, and the goat legs can be seen.
Also this pic shows clearly two children part of the statue looking up adoringly to Baphomet. They are a new addition to Levi's sketch.
Eliphas Levi gives more information about this symbolism in his book:
The goat on the frontispiece carries the sign of the pentagram on the forehead, with one point at the top, a symbol of light, his two hands forming the sign
of hermetism, the one pointing up to the white moon of Chesed, the other pointing down to the black one of Geburah ...
His one arm is female, the other male like the ones of the androgyn of Khunrath, the attributes of which we had to unite with those of our goat because
he is one and the same symbol. The flame of intelligence shining between his horns is the magic light of the universal balance ... The rod standing instead
of genitals symbolizes eternal life
And this last page also states "the two snakes frequently represent male and female."
OK so just what's the deal here and what is this statue really about?
The Sigil of the Baphomet is an inverted pentacle form, with two points pointing upwards, one downwards, and one to each side. It is the official symbol of
the Church of Satan. Inside the pentacle is the image of a goat, its horns filling the upper two points, its ears filling the two lateral ones, and its
mouth filling the lower one. This is Satan.
Ouch! Well that's a pentagram enclosing a goat's head:
Sigil of the Baphomet
And some info on this group:
The Church of Satan is a religious organization dedicated to Satanism as codified in The Satanic Bible. The Church of Satan was established at the
Black House in San Francisco, California, on Walpurgisnacht, April 30, 1966, by Anton Szandor LaVey
But what about Levi's sketch which is usually referred to as the symbol of Baphomet?
Eliphas Levi's image of Baphomet is embraced by LaVeyan Satanists as a symbol of duality, fertility, and the "powers of darkness", serving as the namesake
of their primary insignia, The Sigil of Baphomet.
And British occultist Aleister Crowley, in one of his most important works, Magick, Liber ABA, Book 4, describes Baphomet:
This serpent, SATAN, is not the enemy of Man, but He who made Gods of our race, knowing Good and Evil; He bade 'Know Thyself!' and taught Initiation. He is
'The Devil' of the Book of Thoth, and His emblem is Baphomet,
So you've got the idea now that it is impossible to separate this statue and pics of Baphomet from Satan. I would even go as far to say that with all this
activity he has actually endorsed this image as a symbol of himself!
And now this is where things take a really weird turn. Or as I wrote above what happens next is actually funny. When I was constructing my ufo demonology page I checked online for pictures or images of Baphomet. Actually it was running across these pics that led me to construct the page. Now that was a few years ago and from memory I didn't see any with children. Until now.
It appears that one of the Satanic groups has actually had a statue made which includes children:
Baphomet is a bronze sculpture commissioned by The Satanic Temple depicting the goat-headed, angel-winged icon. First unveiled in Detroit in 2015, the
statue stands 8.5 feet (2.6 m) tall and features a prominent pentagram as well as two smiling youth gazing up at the seated central figure.

First the funny. Then the weird.
It appears that the creators of the Sabrina show have used this version of Baphomet for their statue. They both have children and there are some other similarities between them that are not in Levi's sketch [more on this below]. And guess what happened?
The Satanic Temple group sued Netflix!
In November 2018, Satanic Temple activists sued the series' production team over the use of the statue of Baphomet, which they claim was a direct copy of
their own statue and portrayed the Temple in an inaccurate and derogatory way. On November 21, 2018, it was confirmed that Satanic Temple and Netflix have
amicably settled the lawsuit dispute, with the terms of the deal left undisclosed to the public.
The 2018 Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has a large statue of Baphomet displayed at the Academy of Unseen Arts. The Satanic Temple has accused the show of plagiarizing their depiction of Baphomet, though later settled out of court.
A Satanic group which sued Netflix and Warner Bros for $50m (£38m) over the new Sabrina series says it has "amicably" settled the lawsuit.
The Satanic Temple claimed the series copied the group's statue of the goat deity Baphomet.
It alleged the icon - similar to their own - appears in four episodes of the series.
The group said it's settled the lawsuit but details will remain confidential.
In a statement, the Satanic Temple said: "The unique elements of the Satanic Temple's Baphomet statue have been acknowledged in the credits of episodes which have already been filmed.
The remaining terms of the settlement are subject to a confidentiality agreement.

However, very curiously, The Church of Satan has made statements claiming that The Satanic Temple are only "masquerading as Satanists and do not represent
"The sitcom was better"
"Only Similarity to the Original is the Characters Names"
But I would agree with that assessment. If you look at their wikipedia info it states that the Satanic Temple has seven fundamental tenets which "have been
favorably compared to the Ten Commandments of the Hebrew Bible." That hardly sounds Satanic.
Yet for some reason they have tried to make a political stand against the Ten Commandments!?!
The statue was displayed on a flatbed truck parked in front of the Arkansas State Capitol building for several hours on 16 August 2018 for an event
organized in protest of the Ten Commandments Monument on the Arkansas Capitol grounds. After a formal request to install Baphomet was refused, in violation
of the right to equal protection, Satanic Temple members were granted legal standing to challenge the Ten Commandments monument.
Further, wikipedia states:
The Satanic Temple is a nontheistic religious and political activist group based in Salem, Massachusetts.
Well this begins to make a bit of sense. In short they don't really sound like true believers at all but more like a bunch of stirrers!
And even more interestingly neither of these two groups believe in Satan as an actual being!!!
The church [of Satan] views Satan as a positive archetype who represents pride, individualism, and enlightenment, and as a symbol of defiance against the
LaVey was an atheist, rejecting the existence of all gods. LaVey and his Church do not espouse a belief in Satan as an entity who literally exists, and LaVey did not encourage the worship of Satan as a deity.
And in a statement, the Satanic Temple has said it does not worship Satan but instead works to "encourage benevolence and empathy among all people".
Founded in 2012, the group works to ensure the separation of church and state and holds Satan as a symbol of "opposition to arbitrary authority".
The Satanic Temple does not believe in a supernatural Satan. The Temple uses the literary Satan as a metaphor to promote pragmatic skepticism, rational reciprocity, personal autonomy, and curiosity.
Sort of like a system of beliefs, not a living being.
But apart from these two groups, there would also be real satanists who do believe in a living being and who have linked into demonology and all its related powers and dangers.
Like Aleister Crowley who supposedly conjured up the god Pan and the experience was so dangerous that one of his followers was killed and he was found in the morning crouched in a corner of the room a gibbering idiot.
English occultist and ceremonial magician, Aleister Crowley:
denounced in the popular press as "the wickedest man in the world" and a Satanist.
Also John "Jack" Parsons [of Strange Angel] who invoked Bartzabel--a vengeful spirit of Mars in an attempt to stop L.Ron Hubbard and his ex girl Sara Northrup
from fleeing in a boat with his life savings. A storm ensued and the fleeing couple were forced back to port.
American rocket engineer and rocket propulsion researcher, chemist, and Thelemite occultist John Whiteside "Jack" Parsons.
In 2014 AMC Networks announced plans for a serial television dramatization of Parsons' life.
Strange Angel, produced by Mark Heyman and starring Irish actor Jack Reynor, premiered in June 2018.
Now on to the weird!
We now look at the differences between the Satanic Temple and Sabrina statues, and the sketch by Levi. Talking about the lawsuit, Teen Vogue writes:
In Netflix's Sabrina series, Baphomet sits at the center of the witchcraft school that half-witch Sabrina Spellman attends. He serves as a symbol of Satan,
or the "Dark Lord," as Sabrina calls him, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. The statue resembles one created by the Satanic Temple and the most
well-known drawing of Baphomet, which was created in 1856 by occultist Eliphas Levi, according to the BBC. Both the temple's statue and the Sabrina statue
feature a winged creature with a horned goat's head and a pentagram on its forehead. They both also feature two young children standing next to Baphomet
and looking up at him, according to Broadly, and show a Baphomet that doesn't have breasts – two notable differences from the original drawing
created by Levi.
And one point missed here is that Levi's sketch also shows a Baphomet with a right female arm [the arm showing on the left of the pic]. So not only female breasts, but a female arm also. This is mentioned in Levi's quote:
His one arm is female, the other male like the ones of the androgyn of Khunrath, ... Humanity is represented by the two breasts and the androgyn arms ...
And before finishing this weird review we have to mention that thingy.
The rod standing instead of genitals symbolizes eternal life
Baphomet's phallus has been replaced with a caduceus, which is considered by some to be a symbol of fertility. Certainly, the phallic emphasis can only encourage notions of fertility.
Deciphering Eliphas Levi's Baphomet: The Goat of Mendes
Baphomet himself is an androgynous character as it is bearing the characteristics of both sexes: female breasts and a rod representing the erect phallus.
Think about that. "both sexes: female breasts and a rod representing the erect phallus."
Half goat, half human, half male, half female. This is one really messed up being we are dealing with. And this symbolism is of the Devil or Satan, the fallen angel who was kicked out of heaven. Well we all have problems but he's really got some issues.
And this is the background behind the statue of Baphomet that has been used in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina tv series. Something to think about!
